The long-established annual Bridgnorth Walk Shropshire is a sponsored walk that is all about raising money for charity and has been held since 1967. The Bridgnorth Walk was renamed ‘The Bridgnorth Lions Walk’ in 2017 when Bridgnorth Lions Club took over as organizers. The walk regularly raises over £100,000 for good causes and charities.

The Senior walk is just short of a marathon at 22 miles and is quite hilly and so should not be taken lightly! The over 40’s have the option of a shortened amended route. There is also a separate 7 mile Junior Walk which is organised for those in school years 5 to 9. Why not take part and help your charity or chosen good cause whilst getting fit ? Or you could be one of the many volunteers who help the Bridgnorth Lions Club run the event.

For 2019 we continue with the improved slightly altered route at the start. Instead of causing disruptions on the main Bridgnorh to Shrewsbury Road, the start of the route has been amended. Walkers will turn left at the end of Whitburn Street and then head up towards Oldbury School and cross the bypass by means of the footbridge. This welcome change negates the need for any traffic disruption on the bypass.

For those visiting the area for the first time Bridgnorth is a historic market town around 10 miles from Telford and Wolverhampton. It has an abundance of shops, pubs, places to eat and things to see; it was also the winner of the GREAT BRITISH HIGH STREET.

Kovotography presents 5 years of the Bridgnorth Walk photography, with a special walkers discount at Kovotography Event.
